The circumnavigation of the Isle of Skye is a serious challenge. The distance is great, with many miles of exposed coastline punctuated only with limited get-outs. To complete this one is an achievement that deserves some respect. Good planning, good weather and a good dose of determination are all required to get around successfully.

Will Herman / Tim Pearson (Aug-11)From Will: 'Notes: This trip was never intended to be a 'fast' circumnav. and included numerous late starts and lengthy stops for bacon butties and pots of tea. The first day's paddling started at 1pm and the sixth finished at 8pm. The average distance covered each day was around 45km.'
