The island of Lismore stretches out in Loch Linnhe, north of Oban. With a lap of just over 30 km it is long enough to be a challenge, but short enough to make a long TT. It can be easily reached from Port Appin, lying only a kilometre offshore, and while it's position close inshore provides an element of shelter, the southern tip can feel much more exposed. The scenery here is spectacular, with Mull only a short distance across the water.

Good planning rewards with a fast lap, but for a more leisurely approach you can add the lighthouse on Lady Rock or numerous outlying islands on the way around.

Note: Some have chosen to include Eilean Musdile and Lady Rock in their laps. For a timed lap passage through the gap bewtween Eilean Musdile and Lismore is a valid route.
