The Menai Strait is a natural tidal channel that separates the Isle of Anglesey from the mainland of North Wales. The tide runs through the channel at reasonable pace for a good few miles, and is quite fast in places. All of which gives a variety of options for moving water fun. On breezy days some wind-over-tide fun can be had when things align.
The stretch from the ‘Sea Zoo’ to Brittania Bridge lends itself nicely to this sort of thing, get the tide and wind running in reasonable opposition, keep the boat straight, and lean back now and then and you should go home with a smile!
